Type and Scope of Funding
Funding is provided as a grant, which can cover up to 90 percent of eligible expenses. Self-contributions of 10 or 20 percent are required. Projects are generally funded for two, maximum three years, while consulting projects have a maximum duration of one year.
Conditions and Requirements
Projects must build on existing structures, improve their effectiveness, and offer a reliable prognosis for continuity after funding. Strict requirements must be met regarding the concepts of the individual funding priorities as well as evaluation and reporting.
Application Procedure
The application procedure is designed to ensure quick processing. Applications must be submitted by January 31 or July 31 of the respective fiscal year. Approval is granted after review by the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs in cooperation with the District Government of Düsseldorf.

The 'Assistance in Housing Emergencies' Action Program is based on a specific directive of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. The implementation of the program and the allocation of funding are subject to the provisions of the State Budget Ordinance and the procurement law of the state.
