Who is funded

This funding is aimed at recognized adult education institutions in Saxony-Anhalt, as well as their sponsors or statewide associations. The goal is to support educational projects of particular state interest that are carried out in Saxony-Anhalt.

What is funded

The funding program supports a wide range of measures in adult education, including ongoing educational work, staff training, investments in buildings and premises, and the provision of teaching and working materials. Innovative model projects for improving the quality of adult education are also eligible for funding.

Type and Extent of Funding

Funding is provided in the form of non-repayable grants as project funding. The funding amount varies depending on the type of measure and ranges between 25% and 100% of eligible expenses, with specific maximum amounts per project or per year. Model projects can be funded for a maximum of three years.

Conditions and Requirements

Specific conditions apply to the funding regarding project content, number of participants, and relevance to Saxony-Anhalt. The decision on granting the subsidy lies at the discretion of the granting authority, and there is no legal entitlement to funding. Cooperation partners must disclose their participation and any funding received.

Application Procedure

The application must be submitted in writing or digitally by December 15 of the preceding year for the following calendar year. Applications are prioritized by the Ministry of Education according to professional and pedagogical criteria before the State Administrative Office decides on approval.

Legal Basis

The funding program is based on § 9 of the Adult Education Act Saxony-Anhalt and other state budgetary and grant regulations. These guidelines form the basis for project funding of particular state interest.
