Market Structure Improvement Guideline

Funding is aimed at producer organizations as well as micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern that are active in the processing and marketing of agricultural products. The goal is to improve market structures, increase competitiveness and efficiency, especially with regard to resource utilization.

The program supports measures to improve the processing and marketing of agricultural products, both through the promotion of producer organizations and through investments in relevant infrastructure and processes. The focus is on adapting to market needs and increasing resource efficiency.

The program provides non-repayable grants. The funding amount varies depending on the project and applicant, with fixed annual and total amounts for producer organizations as well as percentage shares for investment projects. Special surcharges apply to projects involving quality products.

Applicants must meet certain structural and economic requirements, including contractual agreements with producers and proof of economic viability. Special conditions apply to projects involving quality products or slaughtering.

The application must be submitted on special forms from the State Office for Agriculture and Environment Westmecklenburg before the start of the project. Extensive documentation, including economic analyses and contracts, must be submitted to enable a comprehensive evaluation of the project.

The funding is based on the specific Market Structure Improvement Guideline of the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, which is underpinned by European and national regulations, particularly within the framework of the EAFRD.
