AusbildungWeltweit – Mobility for Apprentices and Trainers

The “AusbildungWeltweit” funding program is aimed at legal entities under public and private law, private law partnerships registered in the commercial register, other training companies, and vocational schools in Germany. It supports projects that enable stays abroad for apprentices and educational staff to improve their international professional competence and strengthen the global competitiveness of German companies.

The “AusbildungWeltweit” program supports projects that enable the mobility of apprentices and training staff within the framework of vocational education. It funds learning stays and preparatory visits, covering specific cost categories but excluding personnel expenses. Projects can be implemented over a period of up to twelve months.

The “AusbildungWeltweit” program offers non-repayable grants to cover specific cost types arising in connection with international mobility in vocational education. The amount of funding is based on flat rates, which depend on factors such as target group, country, and duration of stay. Projects can be carried out over a period of up to twelve months.

To receive funding through “AusbildungWeltweit,” applicants must meet certain legal and organizational requirements. These include being based in Germany, submitting a “Letter of Intent” from partner institutions, and complying with quality obligations and data protection regulations. Cooperation with the granting authority and adherence to travel warnings are also mandatory.

The application procedure for “AusbildungWeltweit” is carried out electronically via the National Agency for Education for Europe at the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB). Application deadlines are announced on the program website. Submitted applications are evaluated through a formal and a technical review, which consider the relevance of the project, the quality of its implementation, and the expected impact.
