Further Training for Persons Active in Elderly Care and Hospice and Palliative Care (ForAHP-FöR)

The program targets organizations and associations in Bavaria that offer further training for professionals in elderly care, as well as for individuals professionally, as relatives, or voluntarily involved in hospice and palliative care. The goal is to strengthen specialized knowledge and competencies in these important care areas within Bavaria.

The program supports further training measures in elderly care and hospice and palliative care. It promotes specific professional knowledge and competencies relevant to professionals, relatives, and volunteers, covering various thematic priorities and material expenses.

The program offers financial support in the form of fixed-amount grants for further training measures. There are specific funding flat rates per training unit and a required co-financing contribution from applicants. The approval periods are limited to one calendar year.

To receive funding, applicants must meet certain legal and substantive requirements. These include submitting a detailed training program, adhering to minimum and maximum participant numbers, and considering de minimis regulations.

The application process for the ForAHP-FöR program requires the submission of a complete application by October 31st of the preceding year for the planned approval period. The applications are evaluated by the State Office for Nursing.

The funding is based on a specific guideline from the Bavarian State Ministry of Health and Care, which defines the legal framework and objectives of the program. Funding is provided within the limits of available budget resources.
