What is Funded

Pre-competitive, industry-driven research and development work in the areas of software innovations and microelectronics are funded. Projects must address technological innovations with significant innovation potential and be strategically relevant.

Type and Scope of Funding

Funding is provided as a non-repayable grant. Funding rates vary depending on the applicant and the type of research activity, with project durations typically up to three years.

Conditions and Requirements

Specific requirements regarding consortium formation, project evaluation, and compliance with state aid regulations must be met for funding. Applicants must have a German operating facility and conclude a cooperation agreement.

Application Procedure

The application procedure is generally two-stage, starting with a project outline and, after positive evaluation, a formal funding application, both to be submitted via the electronic system easy-Online.
