BMWK Innovation Vouchers (go-inno) Open
The 'BMWK Innovation Vouchers (go-inno)' funding program from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action supports commercial enterprises and craft businesses in Germany. It provides a low-threshold entry into innovation development by subsidizing external consulting services for product and technical process innovations.
Who is Funded
The 'BMWK Innovation Vouchers (go-inno)' funding program targets small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and craft businesses in Germany that wish to enhance their innovative capacity and competitiveness. Funding is provided indirectly through authorized consulting firms that support this target group with product and technical process innovations.
What is Funded
The program supports external consulting services that assist companies in preparing and implementing product and technical process innovations. This includes two service levels: the potential analysis for assessing the innovation project and the realization concept for detailed planning of implementation. Certain sectors and cost types are excluded from funding.
Type and Extent of Funding
The funding program offers grants for innovation consulting in two service levels. The funding rate is up to 50 percent of the eligible expenses. There are fixed maximum amounts per consulting day and per company per calendar year, as well as maximum project durations for each service level.
Conditions and Requirements
Participation in the program is subject to specific conditions for both the advised companies and the authorized consulting firms. These include requirements for contract design, own contribution, cumulation with other aid, and exclusion criteria for companies in difficulty or if services begin before contract notification.
Application Procedure
The application procedure for the BMWK Innovation Vouchers (go-inno) is carried out through authorized consulting firms. After completion of the consulting services, the consulting firms must submit a proof of use to receive the voucher value disbursement.
Legal Basis
The funding program is based on a specific guideline from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, supplemented by federal budgetary provisions and the EU General Block Exemption Regulation (GBER).
