Funding is provided as a dedicated grant per student. There are fixed monthly maximum amounts and upper limits for the entire training period. Additionally, schools can apply for a one-time lump sum for uncovered additional costs.

Specific conditions apply to the funding regarding the conduct of training in the state of Brandenburg, the required capacities of elderly care schools, and the eligibility of students. No tuition fees may be charged, and practical training institutions must pay appropriate training allowances.

The application must be submitted in writing or digitally to the State Office for Social Affairs and Supply (LASV) up to seven weeks before the start of training. Proof of training contracts must be submitted later. Approval is granted at discretion within the available funds.

The legal basis of the funding program is the guideline of the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Health, Women and Family for the financing of training measures in elderly care in the state of Brandenburg.
