Funding for Land Consolidation (FlurbFördRichtlinie)
The State of Brandenburg supports the reordering of rural land ownership and the shaping of rural areas through the promotion of land consolidation (FlurbFördRichtlinie). This serves to improve the agricultural structure. Funding is provided as a grant for community matters and voluntary land exchange, to strengthen agricultural efficiency and environmental protection.
Who is funded?
Funding is aimed at participant communities, their associations, as well as individual participants and exchange partners within the framework of land consolidation procedures in Brandenburg. The goal is to improve the agricultural structure and shape rural areas in locations with fewer than 10,000 inhabitants.
What is funded?
The program promotes various measures for the reordering of rural land ownership and the improvement of the agricultural structure. This includes communal facilities, ecological measures, soil-protecting and soil-improving measures, as well as aspects of voluntary land exchange. Excluded are, among other things, construction and development measures in new development areas and land acquisition.
Type and Extent of Funding
The program provides grants in the form of subsidies. Funding is provided as co-financing with rates between 75 and 90 percent of the eligible expenses, depending on the type of project and the financial situation of the municipality.
Conditions and Requirements
Applicants must meet certain legal and administrative requirements, such as the initiation of a procedure and an approved budget. In addition, regulations on de minimis aid, budget restrictions, and retention periods for funded facilities must be observed.
Application Procedure
The application must be submitted in writing and in the prescribed form to the Brandenburg State Office for Rural Development, Agriculture and Land Consolidation (LELF). Approval is granted at the discretion of the authority within the framework of available budget funds. The disbursement of grants is tied to the confirmation of the grant notification and its legal force.
Legal Basis
The funding is based on the Guideline of the Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Climate Protection for the Promotion of Land Consolidation (FlurbFördRichtl) and is secured by a series of national and European laws and regulations.
