Loan

The L-Bank's Combined Housing Loan with Climate Premium supports private homeowners in Baden-Württemberg with the construction, purchase, or energy-efficient renovation of their residential properties. It closes financing gaps and complements existing funding from L-Bank, KfW, or BAFA. Particularly energy-efficient renovations are additionally rewarded with a climate premium.

Who is funded?

The Combined Housing Loan is aimed at natural persons in Baden-Württemberg who wish to build, purchase, or energetically renovate owner-occupied residential property. The funding aims to close financing gaps and, in particular, support social and ecological aspects in housing construction.

What is funded?

The Combined Housing Loan finances the new construction, purchase, or energy-efficient renovation of residential properties, as well as the installation of renewable energy systems. Various cost categories can be covered, including those not eligible for funding in supplementary programs.

Type and Scope of Financing

Funding is primarily provided as a long-term, low-interest loan. For particularly energy-efficient renovation projects, a climate premium may also be granted as a repayment grant. The loan amount is between 5,000 euros and typically 200,000 euros per residential unit and can cover up to 100 percent of the eligible costs.

Conditions and Requirements

To receive the Combined Housing Loan, applicants must meet various requirements, including simultaneous funding through other specific programs, owner-occupancy of the property, and adherence to German environmental and social standards. Cumulation rules and budget limitations must be observed.

Application Procedure

The application for the Combined Housing Loan is submitted to L-Bank via a financing institution (local bank). Specific application deadlines and documents must be observed, particularly the timing of the application before the start of the project for the climate premium. Disbursement and proof of use of funds also occur through the local bank.

The Combined Housing Loan with Climate Premium is based on an L-Bank information sheet. The climate premium is financed by the Ministry of Environment, Climate and Energy Industry Baden-Württemberg with funds approved by the Baden-Württemberg State Parliament. KfW provides refinancing funds for the loan. Access to the official texts is guaranteed via the L-Bank website.
