The Culture and School Project Fund supports artistic and cultural projects of all disciplines and thematic focuses that sustainably establish cultural education in schools. Preference is given to projects that pursue innovative and cross-disciplinary approaches and aim for participation in accordance with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Type and Scope of Funding

The Culture and School Project Fund grants subsidies for projects of various sizes, from smaller initiatives to three-year large-scale projects. Funding is generally provided as fixed-amount financing for partial funding of project costs.

Conditions and Requirements

To receive funding from the Culture and School Project Fund, applicants must ensure proper business management and the overall financing of the project. Projects must not have started yet and must meet certain quality criteria, particularly regarding thematic and artistic quality, and the promotion of participation.

Application Procedure

Applications for the Culture and School Project Fund must be submitted online via the portal of the State Association for Children's and Youth Culture e.V. (LAG). A jury decides on the allocation of grants based on defined funding criteria and qualitative assessments.

The legal basis for the Culture and School Project Fund is the Funding Guideline "Culture and School Project Fund" of the Authority for Culture and Media and the Authority for School and Vocational Education dated March 22, 2019. It regulates the funding objectives, grant recipients, requirements, type and scope of the grant, and the procedure.
