Dementia and Participation (DEMTeil)

The "Dementia and Participation (DEMTeil)" program targets stakeholders in Bavaria who are committed to the social participation of people with dementia or are building dementia-friendly structures in municipalities. It also supports authors of scientific works that contribute to improving the living situation of people with dementia. The primary goal is to promote a dementia-sensitive society in the Free State of Bavaria.

The DEMTeil funding program supports projects and initiatives aimed at the social participation of people with dementia or establishing dementia-friendly structures in municipalities. Additionally, scientific works that provide practice-relevant insights for improving the living situation of people with dementia are recognized.

The "Dementia and Participation" program offers grants for projects and programs, as well as prize money for scientific works. The amount of funding varies by funding pillar and can amount to up to 90 percent of eligible expenditures, with specific maximum limits per project. The funding period is limited to a maximum of 18 months.

To participate in the "Dementia and Participation" program, applicants and their projects must meet certain conditions, including concept requirements, the start time of the project, and compliance with state aid regulations.

The application procedure for funding from the Bavarian Dementia Fund involves submitting applications by fixed deadlines to the Bavarian State Office for Nursing (LfP). Applications for the Science Award are submitted separately by email. The granting authority reviews the applications and decides on the grants.

The "Dementia and Participation (DEMTeil)" funding program is based on a specific guideline from the Bavarian State Ministry of Health and Care, which defines the legal and budgetary frameworks for granting funding and awards from the Bavarian Dementia Fund.
