Knowledge Transfer and Information Measures (EAFRD Education Guideline)

This program is aimed at educational institutions that wish to enhance the professional, entrepreneurial, and personal competencies of stakeholders in Thuringia's rural areas through their projects. The goal is to improve competitiveness and promote the sustainable development of agriculture and forestry.

The program supports various measures for competence development and knowledge transfer, including vocational training, demonstration activities, information measures, and operational exchanges and visits. Eligible topics include aspects of agriculture and forestry, environmental protection, and rural development.

Funding is provided as a non-repayable grant. The amount of funding varies depending on the type of measure, either as a fixed amount per participant and day of implementation or as co-financing. The project duration for operational exchanges and visits is limited.

Specific conditions apply to the application and implementation of funded projects. These include the necessity of qualified personnel, minimum participant numbers, and compliance with state aid regulations. Transparency obligations and controls must also be observed.

The application must be submitted in the prescribed form and by the deadline to the Thuringian State Administration Office. Approval is granted within the framework of a selection procedure based on defined criteria.

The funding guideline is based on the Guideline for the Promotion of Knowledge Transfer and Information Measures and is underpinned by a series of European and Thuringian legislations.
