SMK-ESF Plus Guideline Education Potentials Lifelong Learning – A – Projects for Literacy and Basic Education of Low-Literate Adults

Funding is aimed at legal entities and partnerships in Saxony. It seeks to support low-literate adults, unemployed individuals, students, and children with learning difficulties through targeted educational measures and structures, improving their participation in social and professional life.

The guideline funds diverse projects in the areas of literacy and basic education, vocational retraining, measures to increase student graduation rates, and programs for children with special learning and life challenges. Personnel, material, and administrative expenses, as well as participant services, are subsidized, often in the form of flat rates.

Funding is primarily provided as project grants. The funding amount can be up to 100 percent of the eligible expenses. Project duration varies depending on the project area, with extensions possible under certain conditions.

Applicants must meet certain legal requirements and submit detailed concepts. Collaboration in networks and adherence to quality standards are crucial. There are specific requirements for participants and project implementation in the respective funding areas.

The application process requires submission by specified deadlines via the SAB funding portal. Selection is partly based on competitions or after the publication of funding announcements. Disbursement occurs in installments, often based on the prepayment principle, and requires detailed proof of use.
