Who is funded

The ESF Plus program for start-up consulting targets natural persons with primary residence in the Free State of Saxony who plan to start a business or take over an existing one. The aim is to facilitate access to preparatory consulting services, thereby strengthening the competitiveness of the Saxon economy through sustainable business establishments.

What is funded

The program funds consulting services in the pre-start-up phase for deciding on and preparing for a business establishment or takeover. The consulting covers various aspects from economic to ecological issues and aims to provide concrete recommendations for action to implement the project.

Type and Scope of Funding

The program offers financial support in the form of grants for consulting services, which are billed as fixed amounts per person-day. The maximum funding amount depends on the project and the number of person-days, with certain upper limits applying.

Conditions and Requirements

Specific conditions apply for applying for and receiving funding regarding prior education, the timing of business establishment, and the type of consulting service. State aid regulations, particularly the De minimis Regulation, must be observed.

Application Procedure

The application for start-up consulting funding must be submitted via the funding portal of Sächsische Aufbaubank – Förderbank – (SAB). Certain deadlines and proofs must be observed to ensure smooth processing and disbursement of the funding.

Legal Basis

The funding program is based on a specific directive of the Saxon State Ministry for Economy, Labour and Transport, supplemented by budgetary and European state aid regulations.
