The program supports a variety of projects that deal with European integration and strengthen the European idea, including European encounters, educational trips, and publications. Special consideration is given to projects involving children and young people, those held during Europe Week, or those serving European political education.

Type and Scope of Funding: Financial Support for Europe Projects

Funding is provided as a non-repayable grant. The maximum funding amount per project is 3,000 Euros and covers up to 50 percent of the eligible expenses. A minimum own contribution of 15 percent is required.

Conditions and Requirements: Funding Guidelines for Europe Projects

To receive funding, applicants must have their registered office in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and the project must have a clear European political relevance. In addition, an own contribution of at least 15 percent of the eligible expenses must be provided. Funding is granted at the discretion of the approving authority within the framework of available budget funds.

Application Process: Applying for Funding for the European Idea

The application for funding must be submitted to the Ministry of Science, Culture, Federal and European Affairs of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern at least six weeks before the start of the project. Approval is granted in writing, and the proof of use must be provided within six months after the project's end.

The funding program is based on the "Guideline for the Granting of Subsidies for the Promotion of the European Idea and European Integration (EurFöRL M-V)" of March 8, 2022. In addition, the administrative regulations for the State Budget Act and the minimum wage apply.
