Funding Guideline Knowledge Exchange, Innovations, Networks (FRL WIN/2023) – Part B.II.3. Networks and Cooperations Open
Through the Funding Guideline Knowledge Exchange, Innovations, and Networks (FRL WIN/2023), the Free State of Saxony supports cooperations and networks to strengthen sustainable agriculture and the market position of organically or regionally produced agricultural products. Co-financed by the EAFRD, the program promotes collaboration among actors outside of EIP-Agri and LEADER initiatives.
Who is Funded
This guideline supports actors in the Free State of Saxony who are committed to sustainable agriculture and the strengthening of organically or regionally produced agricultural products. The support is aimed at a wide range of organizations and individuals who wish to establish new forms of cooperation or existing cooperations with new activities.
What is Funded
The funding covers a variety of projects in the areas of knowledge exchange, innovations, and networks and cooperations, aiming to improve sustainable agriculture and strengthen regional food cycles. Both direct and indirect costs are considered, while certain investments and ongoing activities are excluded.
Type and Scope of Funding
Funding is granted as a subsidy and generally amounts to 90 percent of the total eligible expenses. The maximum funding duration is seven years, with a minimum funding amount per project to be observed.

To receive funding, applicants must meet certain legal, administrative, and operational conditions. These include compliance with cooperation rules, state aid law, and transparency regulations, as well as specific requirements for overall financing and project implementation.

The application process takes place within the framework of calls for proposals, where applications must be submitted electronically via the portal of the Saxon State Office for Environment, Agriculture and Geology. The selection of projects is based on defined criteria and a ranking.
