What is funded?

The Hamburg-Kredit Mikro supports investments and working capital for various business phases, from business start-ups to growth financing. The program covers a wide range of eligible expenses but excludes certain measures such as renewable energy installations or refinancing.

Type and Scope of Funding

The Hamburg-Kredit Mikro is provided as a low-interest loan and can cover up to 100% of the eligible costs. The loan amount varies depending on the company phase and is a maximum of 40,000 EUR. The loan term is set for six years, with an interest-free grace period.

Conditions and Requirements

The Hamburg-Kredit Mikro has specific requirements regarding company size, the necessity of a bank rejection, and compliance with De minimis aid rules. Applicants must submit a notarized acknowledgement of debt, and shareholders of legal entities must provide a self-executing guarantee.

Application Procedure

The application for the Hamburg-Kredit Mikro must be submitted in digital form via the IFB Hamburg online application portal before the start of the project. The application is processed in cooperation with partners such as the Chamber of Commerce or Chamber of Crafts, who also provide advisory support. Incomplete applications may be rejected, while complete applications are processed preferentially.

The Hamburg-Kredit Mikro funding program is based on the Law on the Hamburgische Investitions- und Förderbank and is implemented in agreement with the Ministry of Economy, Transport and Innovation. It is subject to the provisions of European state aid law, in particular the De minimis Regulation and the General Block Exemption Regulation (GBER).
