Hamburg Growth Loan Open
The Hamburg Growth Loan is a funding program by the Hamburgische Investitions- und Förderbank (IFB Hamburg) that supports the long-term financing of investments and working capital in Hamburg. It reduces the cost of the already favorable KfW program "ERP Promotional Loan for SMEs" through an interest rate subsidy from the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, allowing companies in Hamburg to benefit from particularly attractive conditions.
Who is Funded
The Hamburg Growth Loan is aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), freelancers, and natural persons in Hamburg who wish to invest in commercial properties or rent/lease them. The program supports projects that require long-term financing of investments and working capital.
What is Funded
The Hamburg Growth Loan finances a wide range of investments and working capital that serve the growth and liquidity of businesses. This includes both tangible and intangible assets, trade fair participation, and consulting services.
Type and Scope of Funding
The funding program offers loans to finance up to 100% of eligible costs. The loan amount is limited per project and per borrower, and flexible maturities with grace periods for repayment are possible.
Conditions and Requirements
Specific conditions apply for applying for and receiving the Hamburg Growth Loan. These include a minimum period of market activity, customary banking collateral, and compliance with relevant EU aid rules such as the De minimis Regulation and the GBER.
Application Procedure
Applications for the Hamburg Growth Loan are submitted via your principal bank or another credit institution of your choice, which then forwards the application to IFB Hamburg. IFB Hamburg decides on the allocation of funds within the framework of available resources; there is no legal entitlement to funding.
Legal Basis
The funding for the Hamburg Growth Loan is based on IFB Hamburg's product-specific guidelines and the Law on Hamburgische Investitions- und Förderbank. Refinancing is carried out via the KfW Banking Group, with relevant EU state aid regulations such as the De minimis Regulation and the General Block Exemption Regulation also applying.
