Applications must be submitted to the responsible housing promotion offices in the municipal, city, or district administrations before the start of construction or conclusion of the purchase agreement. Legal Basis
The Housing Promotion – Homeownership Support is based on the directive of the Ministry for Environment, Energy, Building and Climate Protection dated July 2, 2019, which establishes the basic Housing Promotion Regulations (WFB). This directive was last amended in November 2021 and is supplemented by an information sheet from the Investment and Promotional Bank of Lower Saxony (NBank). Specific energy-efficient modernizations are additionally subject to the provisions of the Building Energy Act (GEG).
