HYPERLOOP – ROADMAP TOWARDS INDUSTRIALISATION AND HARMONIZED IMPLEMENTABLE CONCEPT

The Hyperloop program targets a broad range of entities with expertise in hyperloop technology, rail, and research, aiming to drive the industrialisation and harmonisation of hyperloop systems across Europe.

This program funds research and innovation actions focused on the technical harmonisation, industrialisation, and applicability of hyperloop technologies, along with the design and validation of key sub-systems to ensure interoperability and safety.

The funding for this program is provided as a grant, with a total indicative budget of EUR 2.3 million per project. Projects are expected to have an indicative duration of 24 months, with flexibility for justified variations.

Applicants must adhere to general admissibility, eligibility, and financial capacity conditions as outlined in the Horizon Europe Work Programme General Annexes. Specific requirements include consortium expertise, in-kind contributions from private EU-Rail members, and obligations related to standardisation and monitoring.

The application process involves preparing proposals using standard forms, followed by an evaluation based on defined criteria. The call is closed, and proposals have been evaluated, with grant agreements expected to be signed by November 2024.

The Hyperloop program operates under the broader framework of Horizon Europe and is governed by specific EU regulations and the EU-Rail Joint Undertaking's work programs and foundational documents.
