IB Joint - Cooperation Loan for SMEs (IB Gemeinsam)

The "IB Gemeinsam" program targets existing commercial and municipal enterprises with their registered office or a permanent establishment in Saxony-Anhalt. It aims to cover their financing needs for investments, operating expenses, and business continuity by enabling cooperative financing with commercial banks.

The "IB Gemeinsam" program finances a wide range of expenses for commercial and municipal enterprises in Saxony-Anhalt, including investments in fixed assets, operating expenses, refinancing, and the acquisition of participations. It thus supports various project phases, from planning to market integration.

The "IB Gemeinsam" program offers loans and guarantee credits that can cover up to half of the financing needs. The maximum loan amount is 10 million Euros with a term of up to 15 years, with 100 percent disbursement.

To utilize the "IB Gemeinsam" loan, specific conditions must be met, including ensuring overall financing, the involvement of another commercial bank, the use of adequate equity, and the ability to properly fulfill loan obligations. Collateralization is customary banking practice and ranks equally with the involved commercial banks.

The application process for "IB Gemeinsam" is informal and submitted through the applicant's commercial bank to Investitionsbank Sachsen-Anhalt. The loan is granted under private law, and the disbursement of funds is linked to the progress of the project.

The "IB Gemeinsam" funding program is based on the directive "IB Gemeinsam – the IB Cooperation Loan" from May 2022. This directive authorizes Investitionsbank Sachsen-Anhalt to grant loans for corporate financing in cooperation with commercial banks on behalf of the state.
