What is funded?
The MV Integration Fund supports a variety of measures aimed at the social integration of refugees. This includes locally initiated projects such as information and orientation services, opportunities for encounters, and sports and cultural activities, as well as overarching initiatives for qualifying volunteer integration facilitators and strengthening intercultural competencies.
Type and Scope of Funding
Funding is provided in the form of non-repayable grants and covers up to 90 percent of the total eligible expenses. A co-financing contribution of at least 10 percent of the costs is required.
Conditions and Requirements
Specific requirements apply to the application and implementation of projects under the Integration Fund, including adherence to economic efficiency principles, targeting specific groups, and, if applicable, confirmation of need by the respective municipality. There is no legal entitlement to funding.
Application Procedure
Applications for funding must be submitted in writing using a special application form to the State Office for Health and Social Affairs. The distribution of funds is based on regional budgets, with unused funds being reallocated.
Legal Basis
The "Integration Fund" program is based on the Guideline on the Granting of Subsidies for the Promotion of Social Integration of Refugees and Coexistence in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. In addition, the administrative regulations to the State Budget Code and the State Administrative Procedure Act apply.
