Master Craftsman Bonus/Premium

Type and Extent of Funding
The program awards non-repayable grants. The Master Craftsman Bonus and Master Craftsman Premium are granted as a one-time payment with fixed amounts, while projects by skilled trade organizations receive partial financing. Project durations are generally limited to one to two years.
Conditions and Requirements
The funding is subject to specific requirements that apply to both the applicant Chambers of Skilled Crafts and organizations, as well as the final beneficiary master craftsmen graduates, including deadlines and exclusion criteria.
Application Procedure
The application for funding must be submitted in the prescribed form to the Thüringer Aufbaubank (TAB). For individual projects, a concept selection process usually precedes the application. Disbursement occurs after review and approval.
Legal Basis
The funding program is based on the "Guideline for Increasing the Performance of Thuringian Skilled Trade Businesses and for Granting the Master Craftsman Bonus and Master Craftsman Premium" and is subject to other relevant budget and administrative procedural laws of the State of Thuringia.
