The funding is provided as a non-repayable grant, which can cover up to 90% of the total eligible expenses, with a maximum amount of EUR 60,000 per year for a full-time position. This represents a co-financing for project funding.

Specific legal requirements for eligibility and qualification characteristics for counseling staff must be met. The funding is subsidiary to federal funds and requires participation in Cooperative Migration Work Lower Saxony (KMN) and evaluations. There are also clear guidelines regarding eligible expenses.

Application Procedure

The application for funding must be submitted annually by September 30 for the following year to the Lower Saxony State Office for Social Affairs, Youth and Family. Approval is granted at the discretion of the authority within the framework of available budget funds.
