Promotion of International Relations and Regional Partnerships

The funding program targets non-commercial organizations based in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern that implement projects to strengthen the state's international relations and regional partnerships. The program supports a variety of projects within the framework of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern's international relations and regional partnerships. These include cross-border encounters and events, study and information trips, exhibitions, and publications. Specific expense categories such as travel costs, fees, and project-related materials are covered.

The program provides non-repayable grants, which are awarded as project funding within the framework of co-financing. The maximum funding amount varies depending on the type of project and possible participation of the State Chancellery, while a self-contribution of at least 10 percent of the total expenses is required.

Funding is tied to various conditions, including the need for a self-contribution and the consideration of the state's priorities for international cooperation. There are specific requirements for application and the use of funds, which include the State Budget Ordinance and other administrative regulations.

The application procedure requires the submission of prescribed forms to the State Chancellery of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Approval is granted by a decision of the State Chancellery, with no legal entitlement to the grant.

Funding is based on the "Guideline for the Promotion of Projects within the Framework of International Relations and Regional Partnerships of the State of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern" from March 21, 2018. In addition, the administrative regulations for § 44 of the State Budget Ordinance of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern apply.
