Cooperations in Nature Conservation
This funding program of the State of Schleswig-Holstein supports legal entities leading cooperations in nature conservation, agriculture, and the municipal sector. The goal is to implement the Natura 2000 network and biodiversity strategies. Organization, coordination, initiation, and support of measures are funded with grants of up to 100 percent of total expenses.
Who is funded
The State of Schleswig-Holstein supports legal entities under public or private law that lead cooperations in the areas of nature conservation, agriculture, or the municipal sector as project sponsors. The funding aims to preserve and develop biodiversity, particularly through the implementation of the European Natura 2000 network and biodiversity strategies.
What is funded
Expenses for the organization, coordination, and implementation of measures within the framework of area management and biodiversity strategies, including consultations on sustainable land use forms, are funded. Eligibility extends to personnel costs as well as a flat rate for material expenses related to the office and project implementation.
Type and Scope of Funding
Funding is provided as a non-repayable grant within the framework of project funding, which can be designed as full or partial financing. The funding amount can be up to 100 percent of the eligible total expenses and is determined on a case-by-case basis. The project duration can be up to five years, with the possibility of follow-up applications.
Conditions and Requirements
Specific requirements must be met for the application and approval of funding, particularly regarding cooperation and the organization's orientation. Cooperations are mandatory, and the use of funds is subject to certain budgetary and transparency rules.
Application Procedure
The application for funding must be submitted in writing to the Ministry for Energy Transition, Climate Protection, Environment and Nature of the State of Schleswig-Holstein. In principle, the application form provided by the granting authority must be used, and the application must be submitted in good time before the start of the project.
Legal Basis
The funding is based on the Guideline for the Granting of Subsidies for the Work of "Cooperations in Nature Conservation" in Schleswig-Holstein. This is supplemented by the administrative regulations on the State Budget Code and the State Administrative Act, which form the legal framework for the approval and administration of the grants.
