What is Funded: Measures and Eligible Costs

Within the framework of this program, measures for the restoration of various public infrastructures after the flood events are supported. This includes the elimination of direct damage as well as accompanying and preparatory work. Indirect damages or improvements that go beyond the state of the art are not eligible for funding.

Type and Scope of Funding

Financial support is provided in the form of non-repayable grants, which are awarded as ex-gratia payments. The funding rate varies depending on the type of sponsorship and can amount to up to 100% of the eligible total expenses.

Conditions and Requirements

To receive funding, applicants must meet certain requirements, including the integration of the measure into an action plan and proof of damage causality. Specific regulations also apply to combining with other funding and the earmarking of funds.

Application Procedure: Process and Selection

The application for funding must be submitted to the respective approving authority by June 30, 2026. The procedure includes the creation of action plans by the municipalities and a plausibility check by the approving authorities.

The funding program "Reconstruction RLP 2021" is based on an administrative regulation of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate and further federal and European legal provisions. It is an ex-gratia payment without legal entitlement.
