Funding for the Establishment and Expansion of Technology and Start-up Centers (RL GRW-TGZ)

This funding program primarily targets public and non-profit organizations operating Technology and Start-up Centers in Lower Saxony. Its goal is to provide suitable infrastructure for technology-oriented start-ups and young companies, thereby strengthening the regional economic structure.

The program supports the establishment and expansion of Technology and Start-up Centers in Lower Saxony. It primarily subsidizes investment expenses for construction, planning, equipment, and tangible assets that directly support the project's purpose.

Funding is provided as a non-repayable grant and generally covers up to 60% of the eligible expenses, with an upper limit of 5 million Euros. Under certain conditions, the funding rate can be increased to up to 90%.

Various legal and conceptual requirements must be met for funding, including proof of need, submission of a comprehensive concept, and adherence to quality criteria. In addition, overall financing must be secured, and state aid regulations must be observed.

The application must be submitted to the Investitions- und Förderbank Niedersachsen (NBank) via its customer portal before the start of the project. The granting authority decides at its dutiful discretion within the framework of available budget funds and taking into account a vote from the responsible ArL.

The funding program is based on the GRW Guideline on the Granting of Subsidies for the Establishment and Expansion of Technology and Start-up Centers (RL GRW-TGZ) and is supplemented by the GRW Coordination Framework and other budgetary provisions.
