Funding for Securing and Further Developing Quality in Childcare Facilities and Day Care (SächsKitaQualiRL)

This funding program from the Free State of Saxony targets various providers and institutions in the field of childcare. Its aim is to regionally improve the quality in childcare facilities and family day care. Eligible applicants include municipal and independent youth welfare providers, as well as educational and research institutions active in Saxony.

The program funds a variety of measures and projects for quality development in childcare, including supra-regional model projects, expert consultations, training courses, and learning workshop offerings. The support aims at the further development of pedagogical work and the implementation of the Saxon Education Plan.

Funding is provided as a grant, with the amount and scope varying depending on the type of project. The grant is awarded as project funding with fixed-sum financing, partially with a percentage funding rate of the eligible expenses.

For applying and implementing the funding, specific conditions must be met, which depend on the type of project. These include the submission of professionally justified concepts and detailed documentation requirements. If applicable, requirements for personnel qualifications must also be observed.

Applications for funding must be submitted to the Kommunaler Sozialverband Sachsen by November 30th of the preceding year. The grant approval is made at the discretion of the authority within the framework of available budgetary funds.

The funding is based on the directive of the Saxon State Ministry of Education for securing and further developing quality in childcare facilities and family day care (SächsKitaQualiRL) and the general budgetary provisions of the Free State of Saxony.
