Funding for School Social Work and Community-Oriented School Social WorkPlus

This funding program is aimed at districts and independent cities in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania as providers of public youth welfare services. It supports school social work measures that aim to promote the individual and social development of students, reduce social disadvantages, and prevent school failure.

The program funds measures for school social work and community-oriented School Social WorkPlus. These measures include supporting the individual and social development of students, preventing disadvantages, and exploring regional support opportunities. Primarily, personnel costs are subsidized.

The program provides financial support in the form of a non-repayable grant. The amount of the grant is calculated as a lump sum per full-time position and increases annually. In addition, co-financing of at least the same amount is required.

Specific conditions apply to the funding, including the obligation for co-financing and compliance with ESF+ information and visibility regulations. Furthermore, the personnel deployed must work a certain number of hours in the project.

The application for funding must be submitted in writing to the State Office for Health and Social Affairs. The disbursement of funds occurs in installments as needed and is subject to certain proof requirements, including the submission of factual reports.
