Sports Funding Guidelines

The funding amount can be up to 80 percent of the eligible costs, with minimum funding amounts varying depending on the type of measure. For projects supporting dual careers in competitive sports, there is a fixed amount.

Specific conditions must be met for funding, including full planning and secured total financing of the project. Special requirements concern the protection of sports integrity through measures against abuse and doping, as well as ensuring public visibility of the funding by 'Sportland Schleswig-Holstein'.
Application Procedure
The application for sports funding must be submitted in writing to the Ministry of Interior, Rural Areas, Housing and Sport in Kiel. Specific application deadlines apply to certain measures until June 30 of the year of implementation. Approval is granted at the discretion of the authority within the framework of available budgetary resources.

Sports funding in Schleswig-Holstein is based on the Guidelines for the Promotion of Sports in Schleswig-Holstein from September 21, 2022. These are supplemented by regulations from the State Budget Code and the State Administrative Act, which govern the allocation of funds and administrative practice.
