Solidary Coexistence of Generations

This state program was aimed at Thuringian districts and urban districts that planned measures to strengthen responsibility in the areas of family infrastructure and intergenerational living. It aimed to secure and develop needs-based and publicly accountable infrastructure to strengthen the coexistence of generations.

The program supported projects in various fields of action aimed at strengthening the social infrastructure for families and intergenerational living. The funding covered personnel, material, administrative, and fee expenses, but excluded investments and certain acquisitions.

The State Program "Solidary Coexistence of Generations" provided funding in the form of non-repayable grants. The amount of the grant to the districts and urban districts was calculated individually based on specific criteria and could amount to up to 70% of the eligible expenses, with a minimum own contribution of 30% from the municipalities being required.

Specific legal and administrative requirements applied to participation in the program. These included the submission of an integrated specialized plan, compliance with quality standards, and ensuring the diversity of providers. Financial aspects such as the composition of eligible expenses and the own contribution were clearly regulated.

Applications for the State Program "Solidary Coexistence of Generations" had to be submitted annually by November 15 to the Thuringian Ministry for Labour, Social Affairs, Health, Women and Family. After a preliminary review, the application was forwarded to the Thuringian State Administration Office for approval. There was also the possibility of an early start of measures under certain conditions.

The State Program "Solidary Coexistence of Generations" was based on specific guidelines and a multitude of state laws and regulations. These legal bases ensured the legal anchoring and framework for the implementation of the funding program.
