Trade Fair Presentations

Grant

The state of Lower Saxony supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and freelancers with their trade fair presentations both domestically and internationally. This program assists sales efforts and market establishment by providing grants for participation in joint or individual stands at relevant trade fairs. The aim is to reduce the costs and risks of trade fair participation and facilitate access to international markets for companies in Lower Saxony.

Who is funded

Trade fair funding targets small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and self-employed professionals with a registered office or permanent establishment in Lower Saxony. The goal is to support their sales efforts at national and international trade fairs and to facilitate the market establishment of new companies.

What is funded

The program supports participation in trade fairs at home and abroad, both at joint stands and, under certain conditions, with an individual stand. Eligible expenses include all necessary costs for the organization and operation of the exhibition stand.

Type and Scope of Funding

Funding is provided as a non-repayable grant, the amount of which varies depending on the type of trade fair (domestic/international), stand type (individual/joint stand), and company status (SME/newly established SME). There are also limitations regarding the number of trade fair participations per year and in total.

Conditions and Requirements

Funding is subject to various conditions, including qualitative criteria for eligibility, special requirements for joint stands, and compliance with the De minimis Regulation. Applicants must provide information for program evaluation.

Application Process

The application process differs depending on the type of trade fair participation. Applications must be submitted before the start of the measure. Approval is at the discretion of the authority, taking into account quality criteria.

The funding program is based on the guideline for granting subsidies for trade fair presentations. It is also subject to the Law on the Promotion of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and EU state aid rules, particularly the De minimis Regulation.
