Funding for Youth Education and Youth Exchange
If you conduct educational programs for young people, you may receive a grant under certain conditions. The State of Brandenburg supports youth education and exchange projects that are co-determined and co-designed by young people and aim to develop social and personal competencies. Further training for volunteer staff in youth work is also eligible for funding.
Who is Funded
The program aims to support youth education and exchange projects that strengthen young people's personality development and social competence building. The funding is directed at recognized independent youth welfare organizations that primarily operate in Brandenburg and carry out projects for young people aged 6 to 27.
What is Funded
The program supports diverse projects in the field of non-formal youth education and youth exchange. Consciously designed and structured offerings that serve the personality development of young people are funded, as well as further training for volunteer staff in youth work. Certain cost categories are eligible, while others are excluded.

Funding is provided in the form of grants, the amount of which depends on the type of project and the number of participants. Various types of financing are possible, including fixed-sum and percentage-based funding.
Conditions and Requirements
For application and project implementation, certain conditions must be met, including timely submission of applications, specific participant numbers, insurance certificates, and the submission of a pedagogical concept for first-time applicants. For certain project types, an own contribution is required.
Application Process
The application process involves the timely submission of documents to the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport. The approval decision is at the discretion of the authority and is made within the framework of available budget funds. The use of funds must be documented by detailed proof of use.
