Forestry Associations (MLUK-Forst-RL-FWZ)

The MLUK-Forst-RL-FWZ funding program of the State of Brandenburg is aimed at recognized forestry associations. The goal is to support these associations in the sustainable management of forested areas in Brandenburg to strengthen their independence and market position and improve forest management, especially in small private forests.

The program supports forestry associations in various areas, including management, timber supply aggregation, member information and activation, and forest management contracts. Certain expenses such as depreciation or costs related to production are excluded from funding.

Funding is provided in the form of grants, which are awarded as co-financing or fixed-rate financing depending on the measure. The amount of the grant varies depending on the funding object, with specific maximum amounts per year and unit. The maximum funding period for certain measures can be up to ten years.

This funding program is subject to specific legal and administrative conditions, ranging from the application of the De minimis Regulation to requirements for budget utilization. Applicants must meet certain prerequisites and comply with further regulations.

The application process requires a written and form-bound submission to the Brandenburg State Forest Enterprise. Approval is at the discretion of the authority, and the disbursement of funds is tied to specific deadlines and verification procedures.

Funding is based on the guideline of the Ministry for Agriculture, Environment and Climate Protection of the State of Brandenburg and is embedded within the framework conditions of the joint task “Improvement of Agricultural Structure and Coastal Protection” (GAK). It is also subject to the EU De minimis Regulation and national laws.
