The state of Saxony-Anhalt supports youth welfare providers in expanding Early Help networks and promoting parental relationship and educational competencies. This program secures existing structures and minimizes risks of child endangerment by fostering psychosocial support for families in their children's first years of life.

This program targets youth welfare providers in the state of Saxony-Anhalt, who can be both initial recipients and pass on grants to various final recipients. The measures must be carried out within Saxony-Anhalt and aim to support positive development opportunities for children and minimize risks of child endangerment.

What is Funded

Projects and measures aimed at securing network structures in early help and psychosocial support for families are funded. This includes both material and personnel expenses for a wide range of activities that positively influence the development of children in their first years of life.

Type and Extent of Funding

Funding is provided as a non-repayable grant and is structured as project and fixed-amount financing. The amount of the grant consists of a basic flat rate and additional amounts linked to the number of children and the receipt of transfer payments in the respective catchment area.

Conditions and Requirements

Applicants must meet certain requirements, including demonstrating the previous expansion in early help and fulfilling the minimum requirements of the service guidelines. Additionally, collaborations and data provision are required.

Application Procedure

The application for funding must be submitted in writing by October 31 of the previous year for the following funding year. The approving authority decides within its discretion and the available budget. After the end of the fiscal year, proof of use must be submitted.

The funding program is based on the guideline for granting subsidies to secure Early Help networks and psychosocial support for families. In addition, other specific laws and administrative regulations governing the implementation and financing of the program apply.
