Educational Funding Guidelines (BiFöR) Closed
The Bavarian Educational Funding Guidelines (BiFöR) supported vocational training, further education, and continuing education in agriculture, home economics, and forestry. The program offered financial subsidies for course fees, accommodation, meals, and travel costs, as well as scholarships for high-achieving graduates for vocational further education.
Who is Funded: Target Groups and Geographical Coverage
The Educational Funding Guidelines (BiFöR) supported individuals pursuing vocational training, further education, or continuing education in agriculture, home economics, and forestry in Bavaria. The funding targeted apprentices, students of vocational foundation years (BGJ) and vocational schools (BFS), master craftsperson candidates, as well as the top-ranking graduates of Bavarian agricultural schools or state agricultural technical colleges.
What is Funded: Measures and Eligible Costs
The funding program included participation in inter-company training measures, preparation for the master craftsperson examination, and scholarships for attending advanced educational measures. Course fees, costs for accommodation and meals, and one-time travel expenses were subsidized.

Funding was provided in the form of grants or scholarships. The maximum funding amount for a scholarship was EUR 1,200.
Conditions and Requirements
The funding required certain legal and practical prerequisites, such as the location of the training company or residence in Bavaria. Double funding from other public sources was not permitted.

Applications for funding were generally made upon concluding the apprenticeship contract or registering for a preparatory course, or when registering at an agricultural school for a scholarship. The approving authorities were the Offices for Food, Agriculture and Forestry, as well as the respective educational institutions.
