Funding Guideline Fisheries Levy (ThürFRLFA)
The state of Thuringia supports projects aimed at promoting fish stocks, water bodies, and the entire fisheries sector. Eligible applicants can receive grants for stocking measures, fish species, water, and fisheries protection, as well as for training, further education, and public relations. The funding, financed by the fisheries levy, can cover up to 95% of eligible expenses.
Who is funded
This guideline is aimed at organizations and individuals in the field of fisheries in Thuringia. Beneficiaries include fisheries associations, clubs, and cooperatives, as well as fisheries research institutions and, in exceptional cases, individual fishing rights holders. The goal is to strengthen the fisheries sector and protect aquatic habitats in the Thuringia region.
What is funded
Measures in the areas of stocking, fish species, water and fisheries protection, as well as training and further education, and public relations are funded. Excluded, among other things, are investments in residential buildings, vehicles, or used equipment, as well as certain operating and administrative costs.
Type and Scope of Funding
Funding is provided as a non-repayable grant within the framework of project funding. The grant can amount to up to 95% or, in exceptional cases, up to 100% of the eligible expenses, depending on the measure. Funded objects are subject to dedication periods of five to twelve years.
Conditions and Requirements
For funding, projects must concern fisheries in Thuringia and generally may not commence before approval. Own contributions must be made in cash, and the use of funds is strictly tied to their purpose. The transfer of grants by state fisheries associations is possible under certain conditions.
Application Procedure
Applications must be submitted in writing annually by November 15 for the following year to the Thuringian Ministry for Infrastructure and Agriculture. Disbursement occurs upon application, and the use of funds must be proven by a factual and financial report.
Legal Basis
The funding is based on the Thuringian Guideline for the Promotion of Fisheries from the Fisheries Levy (ThürFRLFA) and is regulated by various Thuringian state laws, such as the Thuringian Fisheries Act and the Thuringian State Budget Code. The legal bases are to be applied in their respective valid versions.
