Grants for Investments in the Establishment of Digital Sales and Control Structures in Public Local Passenger Transport (ÖPNV) in the State of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (InvestDigiÖPNVRL)

The InvestDigiÖPNVRL funding program of the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is aimed at public local passenger transport (ÖPNV) companies in the region. The aim is to promote investments that support the establishment and upgrading of digital sales and control structures for electronic travel authorizations, to ensure modern and barrier-free mobility.

The program specifically supports investments in the digitalization of public transport to modernize the sales and control of electronic tickets. Both technical infrastructures and necessary data modules and user media are eligible for funding.

The funding is provided as a non-repayable grant, where the funding amount varies depending on the investment purpose. In exceptional cases of particular state interest, full financing is also possible.

Certain conditions must be met for the grant to be awarded, especially the project's conformity with state-wide public transport plans and compliance with state aid regulations.

The application process requires written submission to VMV – Verkehrsgesellschaft Mecklenburg-Vorpommern mbH. The approval decision is at the discretion of the authority and is made in writing after reviewing the documents.

The funding is based on the Guideline for Investments in Digital Sales and Control Structures in Public Transport Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, supplemented by the State Budget Ordinance and EU regulations, including the De minimis Regulation.
