Sustainable Mobility in Saarland (NMOB) – Sensibly Linking Transport Modes Open
Saarland promotes infrastructure projects for the creation and improvement of mobility stations to efficiently link transport modes. The aim is to strengthen sustainable, intermodal, and barrier-free mobility. Public transport authorities, municipal transport infrastructure companies, and municipalities can receive grants.
Who is funded
The program is aimed at public transport authorities (ÖPNV), municipal transport infrastructure companies, and municipalities in Saarland. The aim is to strengthen intermodal and barrier-free mobility in the region and contribute to a sustainable transport transition.
What is funded
The program promotes infrastructure measures for the creation and improvement of mobility stations as intermodal or multimodal connecting points. This includes construction measures, equipment elements, and charging points for electromobility, while certain costs and measures, such as pure dismantling measures or PV systems with EEG feed-in tariffs, are excluded.
Type and Scope of Funding
The program offers grants for project funding with a funding rate of up to 75% of eligible expenses. The maximum funding amount per mobility station is limited to 1.5 million Euros. It is a co-financing scheme.
Conditions and Requirements
Specific requirements apply to funding regarding application submission, project start, accessibility, state aid law, and publicity obligations. The application must be submitted before the start of the project, and the mobility stations must be freely accessible and barrier-free. State aid regulations and compliance with the dedication period must also be observed.
Application Procedure
Applications must be submitted in writing or digitally to the Ministry for Environment, Climate, Mobility, Agriculture and Consumer Protection before the start of the project. The approving authority decides on the granting of the subsidy at its dutiful discretion and checks compliance with the requirements, including a state aid assessment.
Legal Basis
The program is legitimized by the 'Guideline for the Promotion of Sustainable Mobility in Saarland – NMOB – Individual Funding Guideline: 'Sensibly Linking Transport Modes''. It is also subject to the administrative regulations on Saarland's State Budget Ordinance and other specific guidelines for mobility stations, which are accessible online.
