Work for Saarland (ASaar)

The state program "Work for Saarland – ASaar" is aimed at legal entities under public and private law that implement measures for the integration of long-term unemployed people into the labor market in Saarland. The overarching goal is the reduction of long-term unemployment and the social integration of the target group, flanked by securing income to cover living expenses.

The program funds a range of specific measures for integrating long-term unemployed people, including employment relationships, work opportunities, and activation measures according to SGB II/III, as well as systemic family counselling. The focus is on improving employability and the transition to the general labor market.

The state program "Work for Saarland – ASaar" provides grants, the amount of which depends on the type of measure. The state provides an annual contribution of at least three million Euros for this purpose. It is designed for continuous funding without a fixed end date.

Funding under "Work for Saarland – ASaar" is subject to specific requirements. Eligible applicants are legal entities under public and private law, who must submit their measures to the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Women and Health at least one month before the start. The measures must aim to integrate long-term unemployed people into the labor market in Saarland and meet certain criteria.

The application for funding must be submitted at least one month before the start of the measure, using the official forms, to the Saarland Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Women and Health. The evaluation and approval of applications are carried out by the Ministry.

This guideline defines the goals, funding priorities, and framework conditions of the program for integrating long-term unemployed people.
