Who is Funded

The state program "Work for Saarland (ASaar) – STABIL Ü25" targets legal entities under public and private law with a registered office or branch in Saarland. The goal is the sustainable integration of long-term unemployed adults (over 25) with placement barriers into the labor market and the combatting of poverty and social exclusion.

What is Funded

The program supports measures for the activation, vocational qualification, and integration into employment for long-term unemployed adults over 25 years. The funded projects include job opportunities, activation measures, employment relationships, and systemic family counseling for families receiving SGB II benefits. A special focus is on projects in the areas of tourism infrastructure, environmental protection, local recreation, as well as social infrastructure and services.

Type and Scope of Funding

Funding is provided as a grant for project funding in the form of fixed-amount financing. The amount of the grant varies depending on the type of measure and personnel costs. Measures are generally limited to a duration of one year.

Conditions and Requirements

Funding is subject to various prerequisites, including coordination with the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Women and Health (MASFG) and the job centers, conception as a group measure with at least 5 participants, and sufficient qualification of the staff. For job opportunities, post-support is provided upon request of the participants after integration into the primary labor market.

Application Procedure

The application must be submitted to the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Women and Health in good time before the start of the measure. Approval is granted in coordination with the job centers' measure planning. Funds are disbursed in stages, with a final payment after verification of the proof of use.

The "Work for Saarland – ASaar" program is based on specific state funding principles, which are supplemented by the administrative regulations for the state budget ordinance. It is also co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+).
