Grant

The state of Baden-Württemberg supports the reconceptualization of the transition from school to work with the "AVdual Support" program. This program enables urban and rural districts, as well as municipalities, to receive grants for employing companions who specifically prepare young people with special educational needs for vocational training and place them in company internships and entry into professional life. It promotes individual development paths and integration into the labor market.

Who is Funded: Target Groups and Regional Coverage of AVdual Support

The 'AVdual Support' program targets urban and rural districts, as well as municipalities located in Baden-Württemberg. Its goal is to support AVdual companions who assist young people with special educational needs in their transition from school to work. The funding aims to implement a new educational concept and ensure comprehensive support for young individuals, including newly arrived youth, to facilitate their integration into vocational training and the world of work.

What is Funded: Measures and Costs of AVdual Support

The funding focuses on personnel costs for AVdual companions. These companions support young people during the 'Dual Vocational Preparation (AV dual)' educational pathway and assist them with company internships and placement into vocational training. Material and travel costs are not eligible for funding.

Type and Scope of AVdual Support Funding

The program offers grants for personnel costs of AVdual support. The maximum funding amount is up to 30,000 Euros per year per full-time position, covering up to 60 percent of the eligible personnel costs. The program has a fixed duration until August 2025.

Conditions and Requirements for AVdual Support

To receive funding, applicants must meet specific legal and operational requirements. These include ensuring a specific supervision ratio, qualified personnel, and regional implementation of the overall concept for the transition from school to work. Specific budget restrictions apply to personnel costs, while travel and material costs are excluded.

Application Procedure for AVdual Support

Applications for AVdual support can be submitted informally to the Ministry of Economics, Labor and Tourism Baden-Württemberg. Important information regarding the project, participating schools, personnel, and the cost and financing plan must be included.

The funding for AVdual support is based on the information sheet 'Förderung AVdual-Begleitung' (Funding AVdual Support) dated March 31, 2023, which is part of a comprehensive reconceptualization of the transition from school to work in Baden-Württemberg. Additional bases include further documents and specific budgetary provisions.
