Regional Transition Management (RÜM)
The state of Baden-Württemberg supports municipal territorial bodies in establishing a Regional Transition Management (RÜM). This program aims to optimize the transition from school to work for young people through coordinated regional activities and actors. It stands out due to its focus on reconceptualizing vocational orientation and introducing specific educational pathways.

What is funded?
Personnel and material expenses for the establishment and operation of a regional transition management (RÜM) in Baden-Württemberg are funded. The program supports activities for moderating, coordinating, and managing regional processes in the transition from school to work, including vocational orientation and the introduction of specific educational pathways.
Type and Scope of Funding
The program offers grants for personnel and material costs within the framework of the Regional Transition Management (RÜM). The maximum grant is up to 70% of eligible personnel expenses and up to €5,000 for material expenses, with a maximum total funding of €82,000 per regional transition management. Funding is available until August 31, 2025, and allows for continuous application.
Conditions and Requirements
Specific legal and conceptual prerequisites must be met for funding within the Regional Transition Management framework. These include binding committee resolutions from the participating municipalities, the submission of a coherent overall concept for project implementation, detailed qualification certificates of the personnel employed, and comprehensive cost and financing plans. There are also clear guidelines for budgeting and the exclusion of certain expenses.
Application Procedure
Applications for the Regional Transition Management are informal and must be submitted at least six weeks before the start of the planned measure. The selection of funding applications is carried out by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism in close coordination with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.
Legal Basis
The funding program "Regional Transition Management" is based on the "Funding Regional Transition Management" leaflet from March 31, 2023.
