Funding for Training and Jobs for People with Disabilities – Labor Market Program "We Can Do It!"
The 'We Can Do It!' labor market program of the Free State of Saxony supports employers who create training and jobs for people with disabilities. It aims to enable equal participation of people with disabilities in the labor market and contributes to the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The program financially supports the integration of this group into employment subject to social security contributions.
Who is Funded
This program is aimed at employers in the Free State of Saxony who actively commit to creating training and jobs for people with disabilities. The goal is to promote inclusion in the labor market and break down barriers to enable more people with disabilities to participate equally in professional life.
What is Funded
The program promotes the creation of new training and employment positions subject to social security contributions, specifically for young people with disabilities and for unemployed or job-seeking people with disabilities who have particular difficulties in labor market integration.
Type and Extent of Funding
Funding is provided as a non-repayable grant for fixed-amount financing. Up to 5,000 Euros are granted per created training or employment position, with a minimum amount of 2,500 Euros.
Conditions and Requirements
Funding is tied to the creation of training or employment relationships subject to social security contributions that must begin after the directive comes into force. Participation in evaluation and data provision is required, and the funding may not replace other labor market subsidies.
Application Procedure
The application must be submitted to the responsible Employment Agency before the training or employment contract is concluded. Approval is granted by the Employment Agencies within the Saxony Regional Directorate of the Federal Employment Agency.
Legal Basis
The labor market program is based on the "Directive on the Promotion of Training and Employment Positions for People with Disabilities" of the Saxon State Ministry for Social Affairs and Social Cohesion, supplemented by general budgetary provisions and international conventions such as the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
