Grant

The Saxony-Anhalt state program 'just do it' supports projects for the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, aiming to strengthen the participation of people with disabilities. It promotes measures for self-empowerment, awareness-raising, and the creation of accessibility, offering a non-repayable grant to legal entities based in Saxony-Anhalt.

Who is funded

The program aims to support the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and strengthen the participation of people with disabilities in Saxony-Anhalt. Eligible to apply are legal entities under public and private law with a registered office or permanent establishment in Saxony-Anhalt. State institutions are excluded from funding.

What is funded

Projects promoting the self-empowerment of people with disabilities, awareness-raising and training measures, the creation of accessibility, and other measures to promote participation are funded. Eligible expenses include material costs, fees, travel costs, catering, and investments in accessibility.

Type and Scope of Funding

The program offers project funding in the form of a non-repayable grant. The grant covers up to 90 percent of the eligible total expenses and is limited to a maximum of 50,000 Euros per project. A self-contribution of 10 percent is required, with non-cash own work contributions possibly creditable under certain conditions.

Conditions and Requirements

Projects must pursue an inclusive approach and aim to establish accessibility and improve the participation of people with disabilities. For participant-related measures, a minimum of eight participants is required. Furthermore, the funding is subject to the provisions of the EU De minimis Regulation, with specific maximum amounts and cumulation rules.

Application Procedure

The application for funding must be submitted in writing to the Saxony-Anhalt Social Agency before the start of the project and must include a detailed project description, specific objectives, and a cost and financing plan. Approval is granted at the dutiful discretion and within the available budget.

The funding program is based on the guideline for the implementation of the Saxony-Anhalt State Action Plan for the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and is legitimized by several state and EU legal provisions, particularly the State Budget Ordinance and the De minimis Regulation.
