Victim and Prevention Aid

Funding primarily targets non-profit associations in the field of independent offender and victim aid in the Free State of Saxony. The aim is to support their socio-educational offerings and measures and to strengthen cooperation with state authorities. The selection of beneficiaries is made within the framework of available budget funds and at the discretion of the approving authority.

The funding program supports a wide range of socio-educational services and measures in the field of independent offender and victim aid, addressing various areas of work. Both personnel costs and material expenses, as well as fees and travel costs, are recognized as eligible for funding.

Funding is generally provided as a non-repayable grant. The Free State of Saxony can cover up to 70 percent of eligible expenses, with higher funding rates possible in justified exceptional cases. The type of financing can be structured as a fixed-amount, percentage-based, or deficit-based financing.

The granting of subsidies is subject to certain budgetary provisions and other regulations. There is no legal entitlement to funding; approval is at the discretion of the approving authority within the framework of available funds. There are specific conditions for the eligibility of expenditures and the use of funds.

The application procedure is clearly structured and differentiates between institutional funding and project funding with specific deadlines. Applications must be submitted in writing and using the prescribed form via the supra-local body, which adds a statement. Approval is granted by written grant notice.

The funding program "VwV Victim and Prevention Aid" is legitimized by an administrative regulation of the Saxon State Ministry of Justice. It is based on the general budgetary provisions of the Free State of Saxony, particularly the Saxon Budget Code and its provisional administrative regulations.
