Creating Transparency – From Counter to Producer

The "Creating Transparency – From Counter to Producer" program in Lower Saxony supports recognized regional educational institutions as well as natural and legal persons from the agricultural and food industries or the education sector. The goal is to strengthen the dialogue between farmers, food producers, and consumers, especially among young target groups.

The funding program supports regional educational institutions in Lower Saxony in organizing events on agriculture and sustainable development. Specific types of events are funded, such as educational events, networking events, and public information days, with certain costs covered while investments and material expenses are excluded.

The program provides non-repayable grants for projects by regional educational institutions in Lower Saxony. Funding covers up to 85% of eligible expenses, with a maximum of EUR 10,000 per institution annually and a minimum funding amount of EUR 2,500. The funding period runs annually from July to June of the following year.

Funding is subject to specific conditions regarding event types, participant numbers, and the involvement of network partners. Additionally, certain budget restrictions and accounting rules must be observed to ensure transparent and proper use of funds.

The application procedure is two-stage: first, recognition as a regional educational institution must be obtained, after which annual grant applications can be submitted. Applications must be submitted on time to the Chamber of Agriculture Lower Saxony. Approval is granted based on the application date and availability of funds, and disbursement occurs semi-annually upon submission of proof of use.

The funding program is based on the guideline "Creating Transparency – From Counter to Producer" of the State of Lower Saxony. This guideline defines the purpose of the grant, the funding objects, and the procedural workflows, supplemented by the administrative regulations for the State Budget Ordinance.
