Funding for Projects in the Bavarian-Czech Border Region (Bavarian-Czech Border Region Funding Guideline – BYCZFöR)

The BYCZFöR funding program supports local actors such as local authorities, associations, and non-profit foundations, as well as other public or private legal entities with municipal participation. The funding is aimed at future-oriented projects in the rural Bavarian-Czech border region with the goal of creating equivalent living conditions and strengthening cooperation.

The program supports the conceptualization, planning, and implementation of forward-looking, interdisciplinary projects that have a positive impact on the development of the Bavarian-Czech border region. Various thematic areas are supported, while certain cost categories are excluded from funding.

Funding is provided as a non-repayable grant and depends on the degree of proximity to the border and the number of previous fundings. Projects can be funded for up to four years, with a maximum grant per project year defined.

Specific conditions regarding project content, own contribution, and financial aspects apply to funding under the BYCZFöR program. In addition, cooperation conditions and other obligations within the framework of project management must be observed.

The application procedure includes initial contact with the State Ministry, submission of the application to the responsible district government, and ongoing reporting on project progress.

The funding of projects in the Bavarian-Czech border region is based on a specific funding guideline and the general budgetary provisions of the Free State of Bavaria.
